8 performers are standing barefoot in the water basin of Reflection III. Their quiet presence causes rippling in the water’s surface, bringing the reflection of both themselves and the architecture to life.

Water, its reflection, wooden bars, black frap

A site-specific installation artwork in a chapel has to be modest and impressive at the same time to respect the significance of the place and compete with the magnificence of the architecture.
The surface of the mirror pool in the hospital chapel of OLVG Oost reflects the architecture of the 12-meter-high chapel, creating an apparent depth visible in the reflection of the water.
The stillness in the work, and its location in the hospital offers space for reflection on life, on illness and death, on faith.
